AFRICA'S JEWEL - THE OKAVANGO DELTA
The largest such inland delta on earth, Botswana's amazing Okavango Delta occurs as the Okavango River fans out into the arid desert of the Kalahari, creating a wetland oasis with exceptional birdlife, fishing & wildlife. The water levels within the Delta vary throughout the year, with the floodwaters usually rising between July & October. All camps in the Delta are small & very personal (usually between 8 & 20 guests). Camps in the permanent water areas offer a total water experience, concentrating on birding & fishing, with no game drives.
Camps on the edge of the delta usually have very good wildlife & offer game drives, etc. with water activities only when the floodwaters arrive. There are a few camps on the edge of the permanent waters which offer both water & land activities throughout the year.

The closest international airport is Maun. The area is also accessible from Kasane airport near Chobe. There are no roads linking islands & camps within the Delta, & transport is by chartered light aircraft. There is a baggage restriction of 15kg per person, which must be in soft bags.

4-DAY TASTE OF THE DELTA
Operates daily from Maun or kasane by chartered light aircraft & includes all transfers, meals & safari activities. This tour spends 3 nights at one camp which, under normal climatic conditions, is able to offer both water (mekoro canoe) & land activities (game drives). It offers all the typical experiences of the Delta without the expense of having to move camps, and is the recommended Delta experience for those with limited time.
